Drug and Alcohol Treatment Service, Outpatient Substance Use Disorder Treatment Facility, Scranton, PA
Drug and Alcohol Treatment Service is the premier outpatient substance use disorders provider in the area having been started as a local non-profit in 1977. The agency is open from 7:30 am to 6 pm Monday-Thursday and 7:30 am to 4 pm on Fridays.
Intake Specialists provide direct services to the Substance Use Disorder population. This position is in an outpatient environment where the counselor will be responsible for collecting data, completing psychosocial assessments, completing required regulatory paperwork, diagnosing, determining appropriate level of care, and referring for group and individual sessions if appropriate.
Requirements for position: BACHELOR'S DEGREE IN A HUMAN SERVICE RELATED FIELD IS A MINIMUM REQUIREMENT. Previous experience in a Drug and Alcohol Counseling setting is a plus, but not required as training is provided on site. Starting salary is commensurate with degree, licensure, certification, and experience. Consideration will be made regarding salary range for those applicants who come highly credentialed and experienced.
