We are currently seeking candidates for a Press Operator.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Blue print readings
- Set-up new production orders on the equipment
- Adjust tooling/press until parts are within specification
- Run production orders until complete
- Keep workplace neat and orderly.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Blue print reading
- Basic math skills
- Operating basic metrology instruments (calipers, micrometers, ruler, and height gauge)
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School and five years experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Must be fluent in English with the ability to read, analyze, and interpret manufacturing drawings. Must be able to respond to inquiries.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Uses addition, subtraction, multiplication and division of numbers including decimals and fractions. Uses simple formulae, charts, tables, drawings, specifications, schedules.
REASONING ABILITY:
Must have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Must be able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
