Job Summary:
The Inside Sales Associate will be part of a team who is responsible for driving sales and generating revenue by engaging with potential and existing customers via phone, email, and other digital communication channels. This role requires a proactive, results-oriented individual who is skilled in building relationships, identifying customer needs, and providing tailored solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quoting: Use an industry-leading proprietary digital platform to create estimates and quotes for customer requests based on engineered drawings, models, and specifications. Interact with suppliers and vendors to obtain pricing to generate a quotation to a prospective customer.
- Customer Engagement: Establish and maintain relationships with customers to understand their needs and offer appropriate solutions.
- Follow-Up: Manage and follow up on all leads and opportunities through the sales funnel to close sales opportunities effectively.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the management team to develop and implement strategies for lead generation and customer acquisition.
- Customer Support: Address and resolve customer inquiries, concerns, and objections in a timely and professional manner.
- Reporting: Provide regular reports and updates on sales opportunities, quote status, and feedback to sales management.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Knowledge of metal fabrication and machining processes and familiarity with interpreting engineered drawings, and specifications. Experience and familiarity with production processes such as laser cutting, machining, welding, metal forming, and finishing a plus.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with customers. Persistence in following up on quote opportunities. Attention to detail in managing customer information and tracking sales activities. Effectively manage time and prioritize tasks to maximize productivity. Must be able to work with a sales team to negotiate mutually beneficial terms and solutions that satisfy both the customer and the company.
- Sales Ability: Strong communication skills are most important. We can teach the technical sales detail. Aptitude for identifying and addressing a customer’s problem.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to think critically and solve problems effectively while maintaining a positive attitude. Flexibility to adjust strategies based on customer feedback and changing circumstances.
- Technical Skills: Ability to understand customer requirements, read blueprints, apply basic shop math, GD&T, Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook and familiarity with ERP Systems.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is a plus.
