Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Set up banquet rooms and event spaces according to event orders and resort standards.
- Deliver courteous, professional food and beverage service during weddings, banquets, meetings, and special events.
- Serve plated meals, buffets, and beverages with accuracy and efficiency.
- Anticipate guest needs, respond promptly to requests, and ensure overall guest satisfaction.
- Maintain clean, organized service areas throughout the event.
- Break down event setups and return equipment and supplies to proper storage.
- Follow all sanitation, hygiene, and safety protocols in line with resort and local guidelines.
- Work closely with banquet captains, kitchen teams, and fellow servers to ensure seamless event execution.
- Maintain a polished, professional appearance that reflects the resort’s brand of excellence.
Qualifications
- Previous banquet, catering, or fine dining experience preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and people skills.
- Ability to stay calm and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods; must be able to lift up to 20 lbs.
- Flexible availability—nights, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules.
Working Conditions
- Work takes place in banquet halls, meeting rooms, outdoor event spaces, and back-of-house areas.
- Requires extended standing, walking, and carrying trays.
- Exposure to various temperatures and typical food-service equipment.
