Drive Wealth Advisers is a fast growing wealth management firm seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accountant to join our team. This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, performing reconciliations, managing payroll and bill payments, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations for many of our client's entities. The ideal candidate will be diligent, proactive, and skilled in managing multiple financial tasks to support our clients effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
-Chart of Accounts Maintenance: Set up, manage, and update the chart of accounts to ensure accurate categorization of financial transactions.
-General Ledger Recording: Record all financial transactions, including income, expenses, assets, and liabilities, in the general ledger with accuracy and attention to detail.
-Bank and Statement Reconciliation: Reconcile bank, credit card, and mortgage statements monthly to ensure accurate recording of transactions and identify discrepancies for resolution.
-Inter-company Loans Management: Track, manage, and ensure proper entry of inter-company loans, confirming all inter-company balances are accurate and up-to-date.
-Equity Entry Management: Maintain and ensure correct equity entries on the balance sheet, keeping clear and precise records of all equity-related transactions.
- Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare monthly financial statements and reports as needed, summarizing the financial position and performance for management review.
-Payroll Processing: Manage payroll for select clients, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payments, tax deductions, and compliance with payroll regulations.
-Bill Payment Processing: Manage bill payments for clients, ensuring timely payments and accurate record-keeping in line with client needs and budget.
-Government Entity Liaison: Communicate with government agencies for payroll services, ensuring compliance with regulations and handling any inquiries or issues that may arise.
-Client Communication: Regularly communicate with entity owners to retrieve essential information, clarify any discrepancies, and provide updates on financial processes as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree
- 5 years of proven experience as a bookkeeper or accountant.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
- Familiarity with payroll and tax regulations.
Preferred Skills:
- Full-cycle accounting
- Experience with inter-company loan management.
- Knowledge of equity entries and balance sheet reconciliation.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
