The County Auditor investigates all financial claims against the county and pays the bills. The Auditor's Office also examines the financial books kept by the other county officials to see that accurate and complete records are maintained.

#### **POSITION:** **Senior Accountant** ** **POSTING #: 2115-0326sr

The Opportunity

Under general guidance and direction of the Associate Director -- Financial Services, performs routine and complex accounting work. Duties include performing complex general ledger transactions and analysis and reconciliation of accounts.

• Starting Pay:** Grade 725 $68,515.20 - 78,790.40 Annually
• Schedule:** 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday thru Friday
  
  

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
• Three (3) years of relevant work experience, such as general ledger accounting or reconciling bank statements.
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience may also be considered.
  
  

Preferred Candidates Will Possess Some Of The Below Attributes

• Preference may be given to applicants with work experience in governmental fiscal accounting.
  
  

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

• Incumbent must be bondable.
• Applicants must possess a valid driver's license and obtain a valid State of Utah driver's license within sixty (60) days of employment.
• Selected applicants will be required to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
