Serve as the first point of contact for the district. This role is responsible for greeting and directing visitors, handling and directing inquiries and maintaining a professional and welcoming environment. Under moderate supervision, respond to inquiries from parents, staff and the general public.
• High school diploma or GED
• Some college preferred
• Bilingual preferred
• Strong customer service, interpersonal, communication and organization skills
• Knowledge of general district facts and information, district organizational structure, department responsibilities and locations
• Ability to operate multi-line phone system
• Ability to work as a member of a team and maintain a positive office environment
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions
• Ability to speak, read and understand English
• Two years clerical/secretarial experience in an office setting
1. Serve as first point of contact for Dripping Springs ISD
2. Receive and direct incoming phone calls efficiently and in a friendly and professional manner, answer routine questions, take reliable messages, and route to appropriate staff.
3. Greet and direct visitors, respond to their inquiries and/or direct them to appropriate personnel in accordance with district policies and procedures regarding building security.
4. Respond to emergency calls and notify appropriate parties to address immediate safety and/or security issues.
5. Receive deliveries and disseminate materials and information to the appropriate parties.
1. Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other documents as needed.
2. Maintain and update district Google calendars.
3. Oversee the district’s Over 65 Tiger Gold Program, including the creation of member cards, member relations, and database management.
1. Provide clerical support and assist with special projects as needed.
2. Assist with setting up for meetings and special events.
3. Submit facility work orders and serve as contact for building custodian.
4. Maintain confidentiality.
5. Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.
