Direct and manage assigned areas of instructional program and campus operations. Oversee assigned student activities and services. Collaborate and assist the campus principal in all aspects of planning, curriculum development, program evaluation, personnel management, financial management, emergency procedures, resource scheduling, and facilities operations.
• Master’s degree from accredited university
• Texas principal or other appropriate Texas certificate
• Certified Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System (T-TESS) appraiser

1. Assist the principal in interviewing, selecting, and orienting new staff.
2. Assist the principal in defining expectations for staff performance with regard to instructional strategies, classroom management, and communication with the public.
3. Observe employee performance, record observations, and conduct evaluation conferences. Serve as second appraiser as needed for designated teacher appraisal system.
4. Confer with campus staff regarding their professional growth. Work with them to develop and accomplish improvement goals.
5. Document performance of all campus employees when necessary. Make recommendations with appropriate documentation to the principal on termination, suspension, or nonrenewal of employees assigned to the campus.
6. Work with campus leadership team and campus advisory councils to plan professional development activities.
1. Oversee campus operations in principal’s absence.
2. Assume leadership for planning and scheduling of daily school activities including the development of class schedules, teacher assignments, and extracurricular activity schedules.
3. Coordinate and oversee all aspects of graduation planning, including timelines, logistics, student participation requirements, communication with families, and collaboration with district departments and vendors.
4. Oversee reporting and monitoring of student attendance and work with staff to identify and address issues.
5. Work with department heads and faculty to compile annual budget requests based on documented program needs.
6. Requisition supplies, textbooks, and equipment and monitor and maintain inventory in accordance with district procedures.
7. Coordinate operational support services such as transportation, custodial, and cafeteria to best meet campus needs.
8. Comply with district policies, state and federal laws, and regulations affecting schools.
9. Help develop and manage campus budgets based on documented program needs, estimated enrollment, personnel, and other fiscal needs; work with the principal, campus leadership team, and faculty to compile annual budget requests based on documented program needs.
10. Compile, maintain, and store all physical and computerized reports, records, and other required documents, including accurate and timely reports of attendance and textbooks.
11. Manage the use of school facilities; supervise maintenance of facilities to ensure a clean, orderly, and safe campus.
12. Assist with the development of a master schedule based on student requests and staff certifications.
13. Direct, manage, and monitor co-curricular and extracurricular programs and activities, including management of activity funds.
14. Assist with the development of emergency management plans, conduct regular safety inspections, and manage safety-drill practice activities.
1. Act as campus behavioral coordinator in accordance with state laws and regulations.
2. Work with faculty and students to develop a student discipline management system that results in positive student behavior and enhances the school climate.
3. Ensure that school rules are uniformly applied and that student discipline is appropriate and equitable in accordance with Student Code of Conduct and student handbook.
4. Conduct conferences about student and school issues with parents, students, and teachers.
5. Ensure that students are adequately supervised during noninstructional periods.
