Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounting Payable Specialist to join our finance team. While this role is primarily Accounts Payable, the ideal candidate will be responsible for a range of accounting duties including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, refunds, and reviewing POs to identify and verify overages or shortages.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and record accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
- Review and process received invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation
- Monitor and verify store-level financial records, identifying any discrepancies, overages, or shortages
- Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies or irregularities with vendors promptly and professionally
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and files
- Support the Accounting Supervisor with additional tasks as needed
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or higher required; in Accounting, Business, or related field strongly preferred
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a business or financial office required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail with high level of accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with high level of professional discretion and ethical standards
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Work Environment:
- In-Person Monday-Friday; 8am-430pm
Salary : $23 - $28
