The team at Margaritaville Lake Resort is here to create and deliver fun and escapism for our guests, and serving excellent food is at the very heart of that.  With good pay, extensive benefits and a family atmosphere, we are looking for energetic and welcoming individuals with strong food service experience to serve at our busy lakeside Landshark Bar & Grill.

Job Type: Seasonal

Pay $ 7.50 per hour plus tips

Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age

Reports to: Landshark Restaurant Manager

As a Landshark Restaurant Server, you will take the guests’ orders and answer questions about the menu as needed, maintaining the fun, upbeat culture of the restaurant in your communication with the guests.

Responsibilities include:

• Ensure all details are followed according to supervisor’s instructions.
• Provide guests with the finest quality of service at all times in a warm and friendly manner.
• Ensure the work area is maintained in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
• Must be able to pass “Responsible Beverage Service Training” per state of Missouri requirements.
• Have a thorough knowledge of restaurant food and beverage preparation.
• Check guest’s identification to ensure they are of legal age to consume alcoholic beverages and be able to refuse to serve beverages in a polite manner to guests who are not of legal age.
• Observe behavior of guests who are consuming alcoholic beverages, count number of drinks served, if needed notify supervisor or manager for assistance in “cutting off” the guest.
• Ensure service area is cleared and thoroughly cleaned at the conclusion of the recent meal period.  All equipment must be stored in the designated area.
• Maintain constant presence in room; greet guests upon arrival and thank them for coming upon their departure.
• Communicate guest compliments/complaints to management.
• Notify supervisor of any broken or damaged equipment.
• Maintain Driftwood and resort & restaurant standards of food, beverage, and quality guest service.

Personal Skills

• Must have a comprehensive knowledge of the English language to effectively communicate with guests, associates, and vendors.
• Ability to scrupulously follow all Driftwood and Margaritaville Lake Resort policies and procedures.

• Projects and assignments are completed thoroughly, professionally, and with care.
• Adjusts to high-pressure conditions and is open to change.
• Consistently maintain positive demeanor.
• Assumes responsibility for personal growth and development.
• Adheres to Driftwood and Margaritaville Lake Resort uniform, grooming and appearance standards.
• Conducts him\herself professionally at all times.

• Relevant training and experience required. 

Physical Requirements

• Minimum lifting/pulling of 40 pounds.
• Being on feet for an entire shift, possibly 8 hours or more.
• Pushing, bending, stooping, upward reaching, manual dexterity.
• Hearing, writing.
