Key Responsibilities
Guest Service
- Greet guests warmly and escort or seat them when appropriate
- Present cocktail menus and describe signature drinks, wine, champagne, and specialty offerings
- Take beverage and light food orders accurately and efficiently
- Deliver drinks and food promptly while maintaining elegant service presentation
- Anticipate guest needs and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
- Maintain strong knowledge of:
- Premium spirits
- Craft cocktails
- Champagne and wine
- Bottle service options
- Make recommendations based on guest preferences and upsell premium selections
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of tables and lounge seating
- Monitor guest satisfaction and respond quickly to requests
- Reset tables and maintain the appearance of the rooftop lounge environment
- Enter orders and process payments through POS systems
- Handle guest checks and payment transactions accurately
- Perform opening and closing side work such as:
- Restocking service stations
- Polishing glassware
- Preparing garnishes
- Cleaning service areas
- Work closely with bartenders, barbacks, and managers
- Attend pre-shift meetings for menu updates and service notes
- Follow all responsible alcohol service laws and hotel policies
Experience
- 1–2 years cocktail serving or upscale bar/lounge experience
- Luxury hotel or high-volume cocktail environment preferred
- Exceptional guest service and communication
- Knowledge of cocktails, spirits, and wine
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Professional appearance and grooming standards
- Strong sales and upselling ability
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Carry trays and lift up to 20–40 lbs
- Work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Rooftop bar or lounge with outdoor seating
- High-energy social environment
- Luxury clientele including hotel guests, locals, and private event guests
- Evening and late-night service hours
