Responsibilities
- Solicit new catering business through prospecting, networking, and client referrals.
- Respond promptly to inquiries and provide detailed proposals and contracts in accordance with hotel standards.
- Plan and coordinate events from initial booking to final billing, including BEOs, room layouts, and timelines.
- Maintain relationships with existing clients to generate repeat business and referrals.
- Collaborate closely with F&B, Banquets, and Operations teams to ensure seamless execution of events.
- Meet or exceed catering sales goals set by the Director of Sales/Catering.
- Conduct site visits and tours with prospective clients.
- Stay informed on industry trends and competitor offerings.
- Maintain accurate records and reporting in the sales system (e.g., Delphi, CI/TY, etc.).
- Represent the hotel at bridal shows, trade events, and community functions as needed.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Experience
- 3 years of experience in catering sales or event planning, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple events and clients simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented and customer-service focused.
- Knowledge of food and beverage standards and basic banquet operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and sales CRM software (Delphi/FDC preferred).
