About the Role
As a veterinary CSR, you will be the warm and welcoming face of our hospital, often the first point of contact for our clients—whether over the phone or in person. Your calm and reassuring presence will help pet owners and their pets feel comfortable and cared for during their visits. While prior experience as a veterinary or medical receptionist is preferred, the most important qualities we value are compassion, professionalism, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer service in all interactions.
- Answer phone calls, manage client inquiries, schedule appointments, take messages, and direct calls to appropriate staff members.
- Monitor and respond to emails promptly and professionally.
- Process client payments and prepare bank deposits.
- Maintain and organize accurate medical records.
- Handle prescription refill requests efficiently.
Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to multitask and stay calm in a fast-paced, medical environment.
- Compassion and empathy for pet owners, especially during stressful situations.
- Strong customer service skills to ensure each client feels valued and cared for.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
- Proficiency with standard office equipment (fax, copier, etc.) and basic computer skills. Familiarity with Cornerstone practice management software is ideal, but we are happy to provide training.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Mental and physical stamina to manage a busy workday.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Compensation
Pay will be competitive and based on your experience.
Work Location
This is an on-site position. Remote work is not available.
