What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parts Delivery Driver position at Dreyer & Reinbold of Greenwood?
The Parts Department Driver is responsible for picking up and delivering parts to customers, wholesale accounts, parts vendors, and other dealer group stores. The driver is an integral part of our operation and will help us with logistics both here at the dealership and on the road to best serve our customer’s needs.
The roles responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Coordinating with wholesale parts advisor to ensure we best serve our customers’ needs and manage our time and resources to do so.
- Cross referencing parts orders to parts invoices to ensure quality of service and accuracy of orders.
- Monitor payment terms on orders to ensure we receive payment in the agreed manner outlined in the order.
- Maintain the run sheet to help Wholesale Parts Advisor and Parts Manager understand workloads to in turn manage customer expectations.
- Time management and organizational skills are a must in our busy operation.
- Load and unload parts truck safely, and in a way that maintains that parts in transit will not be damaged or lost.
- Handling light truck care, like the morning safety check, pumping gas, and cleanliness.
- Maintaining professional and premium appearance of our 4 parts departments when interacting with our customers.
- Following safety procedures is mandatory. You will be required to complete basic job safety training upon hiring.
Qualifications and requirements
- Valid Divers US License.
- Able to be insured by our insurance.
- Eligible to work in the US.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test (Narcotics only)
- Previous Driving or Parts experience is not required.
