We are looking to hire a Senior Accounting Manager to manage and oversee the day-to-day finance/accounting responsibilities of Dreamwear and it's affiliated entities. This entails managing the month-end close process and including, but not limited to overseeing the AP/AR/Cash Management and Financial Reporting functions.Our ideal candidate has a degree in Accounting (or a related field), a strong understanding of accounting processes and technical accounting matters, and exceptional organizational skills with a high attention to detail. This individual must excel at time management and be comfortable working under tight deadlines.The role also includes managing a small overseas team responsible for the bookkeeping of our international operations. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the following core areas:Lead the month-end close and consolidation process across the organization on a monthly basis.Prepare the monthly internal reporting package for executive teams and present the results and findings for our domestic and overseas entities Manage the processes and assist within the accounting organization, such as AR, AP and Financial Reporting.Will be the key contact for external auditors for all financial statement reviews/annual audits and preparation of tax returns.Be proactive in identifying and implementing process improvements across the organization to increase efficiency within financial reporting.Oversee, monitor and work to improve accounting procedures, internal controls and database management.Audit the workflow to ensure that all accounting transactions are processed accurately and in compliance with industry standards.Reconcile the general ledger on a real-time basisMonitor the asset capitalization policy and the recording of depreciation.Conduct account reconciliation and analysis.Assist in the monthly and yearly closing.Review monthly bank reconciliations.Assist in the implementation of FASB changes.Requirements/Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree preferably in Accounting or Finance; Professional Certification (CPA) preferred but not requiredMix of both public & private sector experience required.7-10 years' experience managing the financial processes of an organization.Wholesale industry experience is required; fashion apparel is a plus: need a demonstrated understanding of inventory stages and warehousing processes, including software/EDI and chargebacks.Experience with bank factoring process is preferred but not required.Fluency in Chinese Mandarin is preferred but not requiredExcellent communication and documentation skills.Strong Computer skills: expert with MS Office especially Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of accounting systems, such as Microsoft Dynamics GP.Knowledge of reading and researching EDI is a plus.Multi-tasking, highly organized, and able to meet tight deadlines.* This job description is not intended to be exhaustive. Salary : $150,000 - $175,000
