Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Leasing Agent role located in San Diego, CA. The Leasing Agent will welcome prospective residents, conduct property tours, and clearly explain leasing terms, pricing, and community features. Daily responsibilities include responding promptly to phone, email, and in-person inquiries; scheduling and conducting showings; and guiding applicants through the application, screening, and move-in process. The role also involves preparing, reviewing, and executing lease documents, maintaining accurate records in property management systems, and coordinating with maintenance and management teams to ensure units are ready and issues are resolved quickly. The Leasing Agent will support marketing efforts, follow up on leads, help achieve occupancy goals, and provide consistent, professional customer service to current and prospective residents.
Qualifications
- Experience with leases and lease administration, including drafting, reviewing, and explaining lease terms to residents.
- Background in property management and residential leasing, with an understanding of day-to-day building operations and occupancy goals.
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to build rapport, manage inquiries, and handle resident concerns in a professional manner.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills, including comfort with in-person interactions, phone calls, and email correspondence.
- Proficiency with basic office software and property management or CRM systems; ability to learn new tools quickly.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple prospects, tasks, and deadlines simultaneously.
- Knowledge of fair housing guidelines and basic leasing regulations, or willingness to learn and follow these requirements.
- Prior leasing, sales, or hospitality experience preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required, with additional education in real estate or business a plus.
