What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ice Cream Production position at Dream Creamery?
Dream Creamery by Travail is looking for an Ice cream Production employee to join our team in Northeast Minneapolis. Applicants must be at least 18-years-old.
Until summer, this position will be 3 days/ week (Monday- Friday 8am-4pm), and then 40 hours/ week once summer starts.

What You'll Do
- Produce ice cream according to recipes using ice cream machinery, and hand-mixing mix-ins
- Ensure quality is superior
- Neatly pre-label pint containers for ice cream production
- Hand-pint product
- Verify that gallons and pints are filled properly and inclusion and variegate amounts are sufficient
- Transfer finished ice cream and pints into a blast freezer running at -25°F
- Assist in casing and palletizing of pints
- Maintain a clean and organized production space, ensure no foreign objects are present
- Follow operational standards in handling all products and equipment
- Follow proper quality standards
- Follow our Good Manufacturing Practices while handling all products and equipment
- Follow all health code regulations; complete the Daily Cleaning Checklist
- Identify ways to improve efficiency; identify opportunities for improved safety and cleanliness and report to supervisors
- Alert supervisor to potential outages of ingredients, packaging, or supplies
Physical Requirements / Work Environment Qualifications:
- 100% of this position is completed within the Kitchen/production or warehouse area
- Work is performed in a production or warehouse environment with limited climate control. Floor surface primarily hard tiled or concrete
- The employee may be exposed to extreme temperatures (coolers, freezers)
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust and focus.
- Tasks require repetitive motion with reaching at, below, or above shoulder height
- Work may be performed in confined areas
- Availability to work 8 or 10-hour shifts, 4 days a week
- Availability to work weekends
- Experience in a production, fast paced kitchen, or warehouse environment
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to speak and read English proficiently.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Math skills: Ability to work with percentages and fractions. Ability to convert units of measure
Skills
- Work experience as packager, production assistant, utility or other restaurant positions

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
