Job Summary
As a Residential Sales Manager, you’ll own the full residential sales cycle — from prospecting and qualifying leads to presenting solutions, negotiating, and closing. You’ll work directly with homeowners and HOA-connected residents, providing consultative guidance and helping them choose upgrades that enhance safety, aesthetics, and functionality.
You will also help refine our sales processes and lead a small team as we continue to scale.

Sales Leadership & Customer Engagement
- Own the full sales cycle: prospecting, qualifying, presenting, negotiating, and closing.
- Engage with property owners, property managers, and HOA board members to understand their needs and position DrBalcony’s solutions effectively.
- Deliver compelling product demos and technical presentations tailored to each customer segment (residential, multi-family).
- Act as a strategic advisor and technical expert during both pre-sales and post-sales phases.
- Engage clients in a consultative manner, identifying needs and offering customized solutions that highlight business value.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Engineering teams to ensure alignment and seamless customer experiences.
Sales Process Engineering
- Design, implement, and optimize the end-to-end sales engineering process, ensuring it supports business goals and scales with growth.
- Define, track, and refine key sales metrics and KPIs, including:
- Opportunity to closed-won
- Proposal win rate
- Sale cycle length
- Customer acquisition cost (CAC)
- Pipeline Velocity
- Develop scalable tools, templates, and sales playbooks to increase team efficiency and consistency.
- Analyze historical sales data and pipeline trends to inform strategy and improve conversion rates.
- Support strategic planning in areas such as territory development, market expansion, and competitive positioning.
- Gather and relay market feedback to product and engineering teams to influence product roadmap and innovation.
Team Leadership & Cross-functional Collaboration
- Mentor and guide lead quality specialists and sales consultants.
- Influence cross-functional initiatives without direct authority, especially across marketing, engineering, and product teams.
- Contribute to training, onboarding, and documentation for new sales hires.
- Manage a team of 2-3 consultants and own daily metrics.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field required. MBA or technical master’s preferred.
Experience:
- 5 years in solutions consulting, sales engineering, or residential sales
- Minimum 2-3 years experience leading a team of 3 sales representatives required
- Proven success in B2C sales environments with complex or customizable solutions required
- Experience in optimizing and scaling sales processes and infrastructure
Skills:
- Strong technical and commercial acumen
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects with minimal oversight
- Proficient with CRM and analytics tools: Salesforce, HubSpot, Metabase (or another BI solution)
- Data-driven decision-maker with strong organizational awareness
- Comfortable working across departments and influencing cross-functionally
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in Property Tech, or Property Management-focused solutions
- Deep understanding of technical solution selling and value-based sales strategies
- Track record of scaling sales engineering or technical sales functions in high-growth environments
- Passion for home design, home services or architecture is a bonus
