JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for a reliable and motivated Logistics Associate to join our client's warehouse and distribution team on a temporary basis. In this role, you will support the movement of goods through receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping, keeping operations running smoothly and on schedule. This is a hands-on position well-suited for someone who works well independently, stays organized under pressure, and is ready to contribute from day one.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receive, inspect, and process inbound shipments; verify accuracy against purchase orders and packing slips
- Pick, pack, and prepare outbound orders for shipment in accordance with company standards
- Maintain accurate inventory records using a warehouse management system (WMS) or manual logs
- Stock and organize shelving, racks, and storage areas to optimize space and workflow efficiency
- Operate material handling equipment including pallet jacks and hand trucks
- Coordinate with carriers and freight vendors to schedule pickups and deliveries
- Perform cycle counts and assist with periodic physical inventory audits
- Identify and report discrepancies, damaged goods, or inventory shortages to the supervisor
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with OSHA guidelines
- Complete additional logistics and warehouse duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to read and interpret shipping documents, packing slips, and basic work orders
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Dependable, punctual, and able to fulfill the full duration of a temporary contract assignment
- Must be available to start on-site immediately following the interview
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 1 year of experience in a warehouse, distribution center, or logistics environment
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory software
- Forklift certification or experience operating powered industrial trucks
- Basic computer proficiency (email, data entry, spreadsheets)
WORK ENVIRONMENT / SCHEDULE
- On-site warehouse environment; temperatures may vary seasonally
- Full-time hours; specific shift details will be confirmed during the interview
- Regular physical activity required — standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs. routinely (up to 75 lbs. occasionally)
- Temporary assignment estimated at 3 to 6 months
