We are seeking a Corporate Accountant to work at our Warren, Ohio headquarters. The Corporate Accountant is responsible for providing management with cost information by identifying, tracking and analyzing job cost; prepares manufacturing budgets, reviews standard and actual cost of machines, and reports variances to management. On a monthly basis the Corporate Accountant assists with the month-end close, monthly depreciation, maintains fixed asset and capital spending records. The individual in this role can focus on the details as well as demonstrate strategic mindset.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- This position requires a 4-year degree in Accounting/Finance.
- Two (2) years of experience in job costing or manufacturing experience is helpful.
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and cost accounting standards is required.
- Experience in machine tool job costing or other manufacturing job costing is very helpful.
- Strong understanding of all functions of the typical accounting department, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll.
- Demonstrated proficiency with PCs and ERP systems, and document management.
- Must have excellent team, communication, and planning skills for timely interaction orally, in writing, and via written reports for use by personnel at all levels of the organization.
- Detail oriented, demonstrates high productivity, and meets deadlines.
- Knowledge of mapping and managing processes, financial software, cost accounting, audit accounting, corporate finance, tracking budget expenses, financial skills, analyzing information, developing budgets, and performance management and metrics.
PAY RANGE: Starting pay rate of $25 and up depending on experience and education.
ADVANCEMENT OPPORTUNITIES:
Individuals successful in the role may become a candidate for Senior Accountant or Corporate Controller positions.
