What to Expect on the Job
Schedule: Full-time, Monday- Friday, with a 6:00 a.m. start time. Occasional Saturdays are required.
This is an active, hands-on position that combines physical labor, technical learning, and independent work outdoors in Florida's changing weather.
You'll travel between residential and commercial properties, apply lawn and landscape treatments, identify weed and pest problems, and help maintain healthy turf, trees, and shrubs. You'll use professional equipment and mobile apps to manage your route and document your work.
You'll learn to identify turfgrass types, weeds, insects, plant diseases, along with proper treatment methods. Success requires attention to detail, following instructions, and applying what you learn in the field.
Responsibilities
- Apply fertilizers, herbicides and pest control treatments according to training and company procedures
- Identify and diagnose turf, tree, and shrub health issues
- Complete assigned routes and maintain accurate digital service records
- Communicate professionally with customers
- Follow safety procedures and properly handle equipment and treatment products
Qualifications
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude
- Willingness to learn technical information and apply training
- Ability to lift more than 50 pounds and stand/walk for 8 - 10 hour shifts
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Comfort using mobile apps
- Valid driver's license with clean driving history
- Ability to pass a drug screening and background check
