What are the responsibilities and job description for the Growth Intern — DRAGON position at DRAGON?
Website: https://dragonenterprises.co/
DRAGON sits at the intersection of design, performance, and national security.
We are building augmented-reality heads-up displays for people in motion: athletes and operators who cannot afford to look down. Our work spans wearable hardware, sport, defense, human performance, and high-motion environments.
We are committed to movement: in sport, in the field, and in the country. DRAGON is built by immigrants and veterans who think differently, care deeply about craftsmanship, and believe in moving America forward.
Backed by a16z Scout. You will join at the earliest stage, where your work can directly shape how the world first encounters DRAGON.
Location: New York, New York — remote-friendly for the right person.
Apply: Send a note, résumé/portfolio, and anything you’ve written, built, or grown to jake@dragonenterprises.co.
The role — Growth Intern
You will help build the early growth engine for DRAGON: content, community, outreach, storytelling, and the systems that turn interest into momentum.
You will work directly with the CCO on the brand and growth work that makes DRAGON the obvious name in AR for people in motion.
What You May Work On:
- Help grow and engage DRAGON’s early audience across sport, performance, and national security communities
- Support content across social, newsletters, community updates, and founder/brand channels
- Turn athlete, operator, and builder stories into sharp, credible content
- Help coordinate outreach to athletes, creators, advisors, partners, and early supporters
- Support launches, campaigns, events, and community activations
- Track what is working across channels and summarize simple growth insights
- Help maintain clean systems for outreach, content, follow-up, and community management
You Are:
- A strong writer with taste: you can match a brand voice and make things people actually want to read or share
- Scrappy, organized, and comfortable owning a goal without a perfect playbook
- Interested in sport, endurance, defense, dual-use technology, hardware, or frontier startups
- Good at follow-through: you do not let leads, conversations, or content ideas disappear
- A current student who can receive academic credit
- Excited to join at the ground floor and take real ownership
Nice to Have:
- Experience running social, newsletter, community, campus, creator, or ambassador programs
- Experience with athletes, endurance communities, veteran/military communities, or technical audiences
- Basic comfort with tools like Notion, Airtable, Canva, Figma, Substack, Beehiiv, HubSpot, or similar
- A portfolio of writing, content, campaigns, community work, or anything you have grown from zero
Logistics:
This is an unpaid internship offered for academic credit. The role is part-time and remote-friendly, with periodic in-person time preferred in New York, D.C., or Boston.
