CASHIER ATTENDANT

The DKCQ Cashier is responsible for provide exceptional customer service to both our internal and external guests. A smile, kindness, courtesy, and industry knowledge are all pre-requisites of the job. Taking guest orders, expediting, and managing a clean and organized workstation are the daily responsibilities for this position. Customer service, salesmanship, timeliness, and being a team player are the values that make our cashiers and the property successful. Responsible to perform all duties according to Draft Kings at Casino Queen policies, procedures, state of Illinois alcohol laws, IGB guidelines, and Internal Controls.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (The following statements are intended as general illustrations of the work in this job class and are not all-inclusive to this position.)

• Participate regularly in departmental and company meetings
• Smiles, provides exceptional customer service, and always treats guests and coworkers with respect.
• Properly operates the point of sales system and accounts for all service items by ringing them into the system and keeping a balanced bank.
• Knowledgeable in the products the company serves.
• Understand and follows all Draft Kings at Casino Queen cash handling policies and procedures.
• Understands salesmanship and customer service is what makes this position successful for the company and the team members.
• Ability to uphold great communication with guest, build rapport, and engage in friendly conversations.
• Communicates all guest service opportunities and product shortages or issues to management.
• Serves food/drink, greats and seats guests, busses and runs food/drink, does side work, plus any other normal functions required to service our guests under normal operating conditions.
• Sets and keeps workstations and surrounding work areas, properly stocked, clean, safe and organized.
• Follows the company’s attendance policy as well as other rules and regulations set forth in the handbook.
• Able to satisfactorily complete assignable work tasks requested by the departmental leaders
• Must proactively prioritize needs and effectively manage resources
• Immediately report any safety hazards, problems, or maintenance issues to the appropriate party
• Ensures the proper steps of service, and our guests needs, are being met.

Qualifications

• 1 year Cash handling experience in a fast-paced environment, required
• Food Handler Certification, required
• High School Diploma/GED, required
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Must have basic mathematical skills
• Hep A vaccination on, or before, first day of work
• Must be able to work Weekends and Holidays
• Able to effectively communicate in English via verbal and written
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an Illinois Gaming License
