What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bilingual Spanish-Speaking Therapist (Post-Master's Graduate) – Paid Supervision Included position at Dr. Yesenia Colón Rivera Psychological Services...?
Are you a bilingual Spanish-speaking post-master's graduate working toward LPC, LCSW, LMFT or psychology licensure? We're helping bilingual post-master's clinicians become licensed while building a flexible career.
Whether you completed your graduate training in the United States, Puerto Rico, Latin America, or elsewhere outside of the US, we encourage you to apply if you are committed to serving Spanish-speaking communities and are pursuing a pathway to practice in Pennsylvania legally.
Starting date: January, 2026
What Makes This Opportunity Different
This position was designed specifically for bilingual post-master's clinicians who are working toward independent licensure.
We provide:
- Paid supervision toward licensure
- W-2 employment
- $30 per completed clinical session
- Employer-paid malpractice coverage
- Free internal clinical trainings
- Flexible scheduling
- Minimum commitment of only 10 clients per week
- Opportunity to grow into a full-time position after licensure
- Our ideal candidate will provide services through a hybrid schedule, combining in-person sessions at our Lebanon office with telehealth sessions from their home office. However, telehealth-only arrangements may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Many bilingual clinicians have experienced being:
- the only Spanish-speaking clinician on a team,
- asked to translate everything,
- expected to explain Latino culture to colleagues,
- disconnected from leadership,
- or feeling like cultural responsiveness is just a checkbox. We feel proud to offer:
The opportunity to work in a practice founded and led by a Latina psychologist who understands the unique strengths, challenges, and experiences of the communities we serve (Lebanon, Dauphin, Perry, Cumberland, Lancaster counties):
- A culturally affirming work environment where Spanish language skills and Latino cultural knowledge are viewed as professional assets rather than afterthoughts
- The ability to collaborate with colleagues who value family, community, cultural humility, and relationship-centered care
- A workplace where your cultural identity, lived experiences, and connection to the Latino community are welcomed and appreciated
We understand that many associates are balancing graduate school debt, family responsibilities, and other employment. We work with each clinician individually to create a schedule that supports both professional growth and personal sustainability.
Minimum commitment: 10 clients per week.
Why We Exist
Mental health care should be accessible in the language and culture that clients call home.
Our practice was founded by a Puerto Rican psychologist who saw firsthand how difficult it can be for Spanish-speaking individuals and families to find a therapist who understands both their language and their lived experience.
We believe culturally responsive care should not be a luxury. Every day, we work to expand access to high-quality mental health services for Latino communities across South Central Pennsylvania.
We're looking for clinicians who are passionate about making a meaningful difference while growing into the therapist they aspire to become: one who is clinically skilled, culturally responsive, and able to sustain a fulfilling career over the long term.
We believe great therapists should not have to choose between serving their communities and maintaining their own well-being. Our goal is to help clinicians develop confidence, competence, and professional identity while still having the energy at the end of the day to enjoy the people and activities that matter most to them.
Who Thrives Here
Our clinicians genuinely enjoy working with Spanish-speaking individuals and families from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds.
Many of our clients are navigating challenges related to immigration, acculturation, trauma, financial stress, caregiving responsibilities, and major life transitions.
The clinicians who thrive here are curious, culturally humble, relationship-focused, and committed to reducing barriers to care for underserved communities.
Don't Meet Every Qualification?
We understand that great clinicians come from many different paths.
If you are passionate about serving Spanish-speaking and Latino communities, committed to your professional growth, and believe you could be a strong addition to our team, we encourage you to apply—even if you don't meet every qualification listed above.
We are often more interested in cultural humility, clinical potential, curiosity, reliability, and a genuine commitment to our clients than in checking every box on a job description.
Some of our strongest clinicians have brought unique experiences, perspectives, and strengths that weren't fully reflected on paper. If this role resonates with you, we'd love to hear your story.
