What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paramedic - Clinical Research - Night Shift position at Dr. Vince Clinical Research?
POSITION SUMMARY: The Clinical Research Paramedic is responsible for ensuring the well-being of study volunteers and the performance of clinical operations as they pertain to a protocol.
SHIFT:
1900-0700 Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and every other Saturday
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitor study volunteer health and safety by completing adverse event assessments
- Oversee the monitoring of cardiac telemetry and continuous pulse oximetry
- Administer concomitant medications to volunteers as allowed per protocol and approved by an Investigator
- Administer study drug according to study protocol guidelines
- Intravenous (IV) catheter placement
- Perform medical procedures, including but not limited to vital signs, electrocardiograms, phlebotomy, urine collection, etc.
- Assist with preparing and serving meals to volunteers
- Assist in oversight of Nurse’s Station and other clinic areas, as delegated
- Perform general housekeeping duties as needed, such as restocking linens, taking out trash, sweeping floors, making beds, etc.
- Other duties as required
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid state and/or national Paramedic license
- ACLS & BLS certification is required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Clinical research or hospital-based experience
- Related job experience preferred
