Field Representative - Insurance Agency Partnerships (SC)
Location: Columbia, South Carolina surrounding areas (local travel required)
Type: Part-time (2–3 days/week, activity-based)
Compensation: Commission per enrolled agency weekly activity stipend ($100/week for reps meeting activity expectations). Earnings are driven by consistency and volume.

Perez Insurance Institute works with licensed insurance professionals to provide continuing education that is practical, relevant, and easy to complete. Most agencies don’t think about CE until deadlines hit. We simplify that by offering structured solutions for agencies that want a better way to keep their teams compliant without disruption.
About the Role
This role is a strong fit for a retired insurance professional or someone with an insurance background who enjoys being out in the field and staying active.
This is a field-based role requiring regular in-person engagement with local insurance agencies.
You must be comfortable walking into agencies daily.
This is not a phone-based role.
You will walk into insurance offices, start conversations, and identify agencies that may benefit from a better CE solution.
You are not responsible for teaching courses or managing enrollments.
Your role is to:
- open doors
- start conversations in person
- identify interest
- capture contact information
Our team handles follow-up and enrollment.
Requirements
- Comfortable walking into insurance agencies and starting conversations

- Able to handle rejection without slowing down
- Consistent and reliable
- Able to follow a simple process without overthinking
- Comfortable using a mobile form to capture contact information
- Local to South Carolina
Responsibilities
This role requires in-person visits. Phone outreach is not part of this position.
This role is based on weekly activity, not fixed hours. Most reps complete their weekly visits in under 10 hours.
- Visit 15–25 local insurance agencies each week
- Typically completed in 6–10 hours depending on route and pace
- Work from a provided list of target agencies and locations
- Speak with agency owners, managers, or licensed staff
- Start simple, direct conversations
- Ask a few quick questions to gauge interest in CE solutions
- Capture contact details using a mobile form
- Tag interest level (hot, warm, cold)
- Move on quickly and stay consistent
About This Role
This is not a traditional sales job.
You are not expected to:
- explain course details
- teach CE
- close deals
You are expected to:
- show up
- walk into agencies
- start conversations consistently
What this means:
- This is an in-person role, not remote
- This is activity-based work, not passive lead generation
- You will have structured expectations each week
- Your consistency will directly impact your results
