Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable, organized, and customer-focused Front Desk Receptionist to join our growing practice. The ideal candidate will have exceptional interpersonal skills, be highly detail-oriented, and possess the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Experience in a dental office or dental assistant training program is highly desirable. At minimum, a strong commitment to providing outstanding customer service is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Warmly and professionally greet patients as the first point of contact, ensuring they feel welcome and comfortable.
- Effectively manage the patient schedule, including scheduling new appointments, rescheduling existing appointments, and confirming upcoming visits.
- Promptly and courteously answer incoming phone calls, return voicemails, and respond to patient inquiries with accuracy and care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including updating patient information, assisting patients with completing necessary paperwork, and ensuring proper filing.
- Collect and verify patient insurance information and assist with basic billing procedures, including collecting payments and resolving payment-related inquiries.
- Efficiently check patients in upon arrival and check them out after their appointments.
- Assist in maintaining office inventory and support general administrative duties such as filing, photocopying, and managing office supplies.
- Proactively work to ensure patients feel comfortable and well-cared for throughout their visit.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a dental office or completing a dental assisting training program is highly preferred.
- Minimum of strong customer service skills and a genuine desire to help others.
- Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in using office software and electronic health records (EHR) systems is desirable. Our office uses Eaglesoft.
- Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to be a team player.
Schedule:
- Full-time: 34 hours per week.
- Monday - Thursday: 7:45 AM - 5:15 PM.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary: $18 - $23 per hour (commensurate with experience and qualifications).
