Job Summary: Responsible for assisting the providers with patient care including taking vital signs, obtaining history and chief complaint; assisting with aesthetic and select surgery procedures. Other responsibilities include patient education on treatment plans, medication and skincare; taking and organizing patient photos, and managing inventory for the Aesthetics Department.
Education and Experience:
1. One or more years of experience in a medical office working as a Certified Medical Assistant or Licensed Esthetician.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Escorts patients to exam rooms in order of appointment times. Obtains short history and vital signs as required by patient’s chief complaint. Obtains or updates medication list if necessary. Sets up exam room according to scheduled procedure or anticipate providers needs if non-scheduled procedure is likely.
- Assists provider with aesthetic and surgical procedures such as excisions, laser surgery, injectable preparation, set up for all procedures as trained.
- Educates patient as required after provider establishes the treatment plan. Ensures that the patient understands the treatment plan, understands the proper use of their medications as well as skincare products, and understands their responsibility for compliance with the treatment plan and post care prior to leaving the office.
- Straightens and cleans exam rooms after patient visits.
- Works with Office Manager to schedule maintenance of equipment.
- Stocks all exam and treatment rooms.
- Performs all duties related to medical instrument cleaning and sterilization.
- Notifies clinical staff of supplies needed to avoid shortages and places orders accordingly.
- Organizes and sends before and after photos to patients.
- Solicits review requests (email, text, in-person) from appropriate patients.
- Checks voicemails multiple times daily.
- Quotes, checks out, secures deposits and schedules appointments during any downtime and when backup help is needed.
- Meets with laser patients for pre-op and/or pre-procedure to prepare the patient for their laser.

- Completes miscellaneous duties and tasks as directed by Dr. Wendel and/or clinical and administrative team.
- Utilize any down time to help out team.
