Position Overview:
The High School Physical Education & Health Teacher is responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering engaging instruction that promotes lifelong fitness, wellness, and healthy decision-making. The ideal candidate fosters a positive and inclusive environment that encourages physical activity, teamwork, personal responsibility, and mental and emotional well-being. This teacher will help students develop the skills and knowledge necessary to make informed choices about their physical and mental health while meeting Wisconsin Academic Standards for Physical Education and Health.
Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement dynamic, standards-aligned PE and Health lessons for high school students

Promote physical fitness, coordination, teamwork, and sportsmanship through structured physical activities and games

Deliver engaging health instruction on topics such as nutrition, mental health, human development, substance abuse prevention, and personal safety

Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse physical and cognitive needs of all students

Maintain a safe, organized, and respectful learning environment during both physical and classroom-based instruction

Model and promote healthy lifestyle habits and attitudes

Utilize formative and summative assessments to evaluate student understanding and physical development

Maintain accurate records of student participation, progress, and assessments
