Company Description
We are a growing commercial drywall contractor based in Rockville, MD, performing work throughout the DC Metro area. We are seeking an experienced Construction Account Manager / Bookkeeper with strong knowledge of Deltek ComputerEase and construction accounting practices.
Role Description
This role is responsible for full-cycle bookkeeping, job cost accounting, payroll, and HR support. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of experience in construction accounting and understands progress billing, job costing, and compliance requirements in the construction industry.
Responsibilities
- Manage accounting in Deltek ComputerEase
- Job cost tracking and reporting
- AIA billing / progress billing
- Accounts payable & receivable
- Payroll processing (multi-employee construction payroll)
- Certified payroll reporting (if applicable)
- Assist with onboarding, HR documentation, and compliance
- Workers’ comp and insurance reporting
- Assist CPA with month-end and year-end reporting
Qualifications
- 3–5 years construction accounting experience
- Required: Proficiency in Deltek ComputerEase
- Knowledge of job costing and progress billing
- Experience in payroll processing
- HR experience preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently
