- Licensure: Active Washington State Dental Hygiene License required
Position Overview
The Temporary Dental Hygienist will provide comprehensive preventive and periodontal care while maintaining the high clinical and service standards of Dr. C Dental – South Hill. This role ensures continuity of care during a team member’s medical leave and supports a seamless patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform adult and pediatric prophylaxis (cleanings)
- Conduct periodontal assessments and non-surgical periodontal therapy
- Take and evaluate dental radiographs as needed
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care at home
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and charting
- Collaborate with doctors and clinical team members to coordinate patient care
- Follow all OSHA, infection control, and safety protocols
- Maintain a calm, professional, and patient-centered chairside manner
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Qualifications
- Active Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in Washington State
- Prior clinical experience in general dentistry preferred
- Strong communication and patient education skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical setting
- Reliable, punctual, and adaptable to established workflows
- Comfortable in a short-term, part-time coverage role
