Overview
Dr. Andrews Plastic Surgery is seeking a full-time or part-time, compassionate, organized, and detail-oriented Patient Care Coordinator to join our team. As one of the first points of contact for prospective and existing patients, you will play an essential role in delivering an exceptional patient experience from the initial phone call through surgery scheduling. This position requires excellent communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities while providing outstanding customer service.
Responsibilities
- Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients with questions regarding consultations, procedures, and scheduling.
- Screen prospective patients to determine candidacy for consultations based on practice guidelines.
- Schedule cosmetic and reconstructive consultations with Dr. Andrews.
- Meet with patients following their consultation to review treatment plans, discuss pricing, and provide detailed surgical quotes.
- Coordinate and schedule surgical procedures while ensuring all necessary appointments, paperwork, and requirements are completed prior to surgery.
- Maintain accurate patient records, charts, and documentation in the electronic medical record system.
- Organize patient files and ensure all documentation is complete and up to date.
- Communicate with patients throughout the surgical planning process, answering questions and providing guidance.
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to ensure a seamless patient experience from consultation through surgery.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in healthcare, medical office administration, patient coordination, or customer service preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a warm, professional demeanor.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable discussing pricing and financial information with patients.
- Proficiency with computer systems and electronic medical records.
- Passion for providing exceptional patient care and creating a welcoming experience.
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
