Duties

• Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service to enhance their shopping experience
• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for retail sales transactions and cash register operations
• Assist customers with product demos, upselling, and answering questions about store merchandise
• Stock shelves efficiently, ensuring products are well-organized, labeled, and replenished regularly
• Handle cash drawer management with precision, including cash handling and retail math calculations
• Maintain excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers or coordinating store activities
• Support merchandising efforts by arranging displays and ensuring product knowledge is up-to-date for effective selling
• Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits of various items
• Assist in supervising team members when needed, fostering a collaborative environment

Qualifications

• Previous retail sales experience or grocery store experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm is key!
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers confidently in English and bilingual abilities are a plus
• Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail math is highly desirable
• Demonstrated cashiering skills including cash handling and cash drawer management
• Excellent customer service skills with professional phone etiquette and effective communication abilities
• Ability to perform stocking duties efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
• Basic math skills necessary for retail transactions and inventory management
• Supervising experience is advantageous but not mandatory; leadership potential is valued
• Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising techniques, and upselling strategies enhances success in this role

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
