DPE Construction, Inc. is a heavy civil, general contractor that primarily operates within Yuma County. We are a family-owned company and have been in business since 1979. We have the capability to self-perform all earthwork, hauling, paving, structural/civil concrete, and underground utilities. Our sister company, DPE Materials, also manufactures aggregates and asphalt for our own construction projects.
We are currently seeking applications for a highly motived, experienced individual as a Project Manager. This position is based in Yuma, Arizona with some travel required within Yuma County and is for full-time employment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Coordinate with in-house superintendents and the operations manager to schedule day-to-day construction activities that ensure that project goals are being met.
· Foster strong relationships and provide accurate information to any subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site personnel as needed to ensure smooth project execution.
· Ability to resolve conflicts and forecast potential delays to decrease likelihood of construction schedule being negatively impacted.
· Analyze job costing reports and accurately cost code items on a frequent basis.
· Attend project specific and company meetings on frequent basis – be able to provide accurate updates on where progress stands on assigned projects.
· Oversee the preparation of project submittals, RFI's, pay applications, subcontracts to all appropriate parties with aid from the Project Engineer.
· Interpret construction plans, geotechnical reports, project specifications, or other drawings that are applicable to the job at hand.
· Strong ability to prepare, manage, and negotiate change orders for project.
· Demonstrate experience in managing safety programs and ensure all OSHA and DPE company safety guidelines are always met.
· Demonstrate successful experience in leadership, including defining and setting the direction for a team.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
· Minimum of five years of experience as Project Manager with an emphasis in heavy civil construction (highway, mining, mass excavation, site preparation). Special consideration will be given to applicants that have federal, public works, and/or ADOT experience as it relates to roadway/heavy civil construction.
· Preference will be given to applicants that have experience with Microsoft Projects and familiarity with Sage 300, HCSS Heavybid, HCSS Field, and HCSS Safety. The applicant should be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
· Bilingual preferred but not a requirement.
· The selected applicant should have excellent technical writing skills, organizational skills, oral communication skills, and attention to detail.
· Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions.
· Posses a valid drivers license and clean driving record.
· Regularly required to sit, use hands, talk/hear, and operate computers.
· Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
