DPP is seeking a Structures Technician III for an opportunity with our client in the Aerospace industry.
Work location: Fully onsite in Merritt Island, FL
Shift: B Shift | Monday – Thursday | 3:30 PM – 3:00 AM
Duration: 3 months
Term: W2 position
Position summary:
Seeking a skilled technician to support Integration Engineering efforts focused on safe and efficient human spaceflight. Responsibilities include setting up production areas, operating precision tools, supporting large aerospace structure assembly, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Key responsibilities:
• Configure production work areas with tooling and equipment for efficient workflow
• Operate forklifts, cranes, torque wrenches, micrometers, and other precision tools
• Drill precision holes and install structural fasteners
• Perform assembly, sealing, composite layup, repairs, testing, and payload preparation
• Maintain clean work areas using 5S principles
• Support structural alignment, fixturing, deburring, and large component assembly
• Work with metallic and composite materials while meeting strict specifications
Minimum qualifications:
• 5 years of aerospace manufacturing or structures experience
• Experience with hand tools and drills
• Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications
• Experience using calibration tools and measuring instruments
• Ability to lift 50 lbs, work at heights, and in confined spaces
• Knowledge of adhesives, sealants, and thermal blankets
• Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office
Preferred qualifications:
• Trade school, certification, or related degree
• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification
• Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills
• Willingness to work overtime
