Overview
The QAQC Coordinator works closely with the QAQC Manager to ensure all electrical work is installed and completed in compliance with applicable plans, specifications, codes, company standards, and industry regulations. This role assists in enforcing quality procedures, improving efficiency, and supporting field leadership development.
Essential Functions
- Assists in developing, implementing, and managing processes to ensure electrical installations meet all required standards.
- Collaborates with the QAQC Manager to communicate quality parameters and expectations to the QA team and field staff.
- Supports compliance with NEC and local municipality regulations under the direction of the QAQC Manager.
- Works with the QAQC Manager to identify and implement measures that reduce labor costs and enhance efficiency.
- Upholds company standards for safety, quality, and efficiency by enforcing policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Assists in the continued development and mentorship of field leadership through coaching and delegation.
- Supports team motivation through daily interaction and leading by example.
- Conducts inspections and audits to ensure adherence to quality standards and identify areas for improvement.
- Documents and reports non-compliance issues, recommending corrective actions as needed.
- Coordinates with project managers and site supervisors to ensure seamless integration of quality control measures.
- Utilizes software platforms such as Procore, Bluebeam, and BIM360 to track and manage quality data.
- Participates in training programs to reinforce quality and safety best practices.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Seven (7) years of experience in a related field, with supervisory experience a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software.
- Completion of a state-recognized electrical apprenticeship.
- Experience using advanced project management and quality control software such as BIM360, Revit, and Navisworks.
- Background in electrical field leadership or quality control auditing.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Knowledge of electrical installation standards, codes, and quality control processes.
- Knowledge of NEC regulations and local municipality compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of software tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, KPA, Procore, Bluebeam, BIM360, Revit, and Navisworks.
- Skill in analyzing quality-related issues and implementing corrective measures.
- Skill in verbal and written communication for effective collaboration with field teams and management.
- Skill in time management, organization, and problem-solving to ensure quality standards are met on schedule.
- Ability to enforce company policies and industry standards while maintaining positive relationships with field staff.
- Ability to adapt to changing job site conditions and quality control challenges.
- Ability to mentor and support field leadership in quality control best practices.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift over 50 lbs as required for inspections and audits.
- Medium work environment. Indoor and outdoor work with exposure to uncomfortable and hazardous physical, ergonomic, and/or emotional environment. Work requires lifting up to 50 pounds and wearing protective equipment; exposure to environmental conditions, weather, climbing, crawling, lying, and working under pressure.
