The Business Development Manager is responsible for leading and executing business development strategies that drive growth and strengthen client relationships. This role oversees outreach initiatives, manages key client interactions, and ensures the effective use of CRM systems to track opportunities and performance. The Business Development Manager partners closely with internal teams to align efforts with company objectives and identify new market opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee daily business development activities, including CRM strategy, outreach planning, and pipeline managerment.
- Manage and maintain CRM systems, ensuring data integrity, reporting accuracy, and actionable insights.
- Drive market research initiativesto identify new opportunities, industry trends, and competitive positioning.
- Overseeproject pursuits, including proposal strategy, presentation development, and opportunity tracking.
- Buildand maintain strong client relationships through proactive engagement, meetings, and follow-up activities.
- Leadcoordination and execution of client meetings, industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities.
- Collaboratewith marketing, operations, and leadership teams to align business development efforts with strategic goals.
- Monitorand report on pipeline performance, providing insights and recommendations to leadership.
- Mentorand support junior team members or coordinators, fostering professional development and team effectiveness.
- Ensureconsistency, professionalism, and alignment in all external communications and branding efforts.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Three (3) year of experience inbusiness development, sales, marketing, or related field.
- Demonstrated experiencemanaging client relationships and supporting revenue-generating initiatives.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
- Experience in construction, electrical contracting, or a project based industry.
- Experience with CRM systems and business development analytics.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Strong knowledge of business development strategies, client relationship management, and market analysis.
- Proficiencyin CRM systems and data-driven decision-making.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with Adobe tools.
- Ability to to analyze data, track performance metrics, and translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellentwritten and verbal communication skills, including presentation and proposal development.
- Ability to lead cross-functional collaboration and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstratedproblem-solving skills with a proactive and strategic mindset.

- Light work environment. General office settings with limited exposure to light physical and occasional uncomfortable environmental conditions. Work may require lifting up to 25 pounds; occasional exposure to light, noise, dust, time pressure, etc.
