Entry-Level Commercial Superintendent
Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated Entry-Level Commercial Superintendent to support the day-to-day field operations of commercial construction projects. This role works closely with senior superintendents, project managers, subcontractors, and clients to coordinate activities, maintain quality standards, and promote jobsite safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily supervision of commercial construction projects.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel.
- Monitor project schedules and help track progress against milestones.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality workmanship.
- Enforce safety policies and participate in safety meetings.
- Review construction drawings, specifications, and project documentsDocument daily activities, delays, and jobsite conditions.
- Help identify and resolve field issues and conflicts.
- Coordinate inspections with local authorities and project stakeholders.
- Ensure materials and equipment are available when needed.
- Maintain communication between the field team and office staff.
- Support punch list completion and project closeout activities.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or GED.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Building Science, or a related field (preferred but not always required).
- Internship, co-op, military leadership experience, or construction field experience preferred.
- Basic understanding of construction methods and terminology.
- Ability to read blueprints and construction documents.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- RESIDENTIAL EXPERIENCE WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED
Preferred
- Knowledge of scheduling software such as Microsoft Project
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
- Experience with construction management platforms such as Procore.
