Job Description:
PURPOSE OF JOB: Operate multiple communication, safety, alarm and alert systems. Handle emergency medical codes and various emergency situations in accordance with departmental and hospital policy and procedures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Answer all incoming calls and interdepartmental calls to the hospital switchboard according to the policy and procedure.
Has working knowledge of hospital code and emergency protocols and executes procedures according to the Telecommunication policies.
Monitor and respond to hospital Security/Safety alarm systems, and critical e-mail alerts.
Maintain and update Associate On-call Schedules. Review Physician on-all schedules through Tiger Schedule.
Respond in a professional manner to all visitor and inquiry issues in the absence of information desk volunteers.

Education: Minimum, High School Degree
Experience: Will provide training
