Position Overview
Country Store Associates support customers at our farm stand, where we offer:
Fresh produce Coffee & baked goods Pantry essentials Dairy products Farm-raised meats & eggs Gift-shop items (children’s educational toys, candles, soaps, and more!).
You will also guide tour groups through our farm and provide basic agricultural education to visitors.
This is a seasonal position (April–November), and hours are flexible with weekend rotations.
What You’ll Do
Customer Interaction & Sales
- Greet customers warmly as they enter or exit
- Assist with product questions and promote store items
- Process transactions using our system
- Make referrals, cross-sell products, and introduce new items
- Resolve or escalate customer concerns promptly
- Answer the phone professionally and with a positive attitude
Store Presentation & Maintenance
- Maintain clean, stocked, and attractive displays and refrigerators
- Keep floors debris-free; handle dusting and general tidiness
- Ensure checkout area is organized
- Notify manager of low or out-of-stock items
- Maintain outdoor areas, decorations, and flowers
- Keep the coffee bar clean and stocked
- Keep the gift shop organized and visually appealing
Farm Tours
- Guide tour groups through our farm
- Provide basic agricultural education and with a fun, informative experience
- Comfortable working with farm animals
Skills & Requirements
- A sense of humor, positive attitude, and enthusiasm
- Reliable, organized, and punctual
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Able to lift 40–50 lbs.
- Comfortable communicating with a wide variety of people
