Security Supervisor

POSITION SUMMARY:

It is the primary responsibility of the Security Supervisor to oversee security personnel, ensuring compliance with company procedures and maintaining a safe environment for guests, team members and assets. The role also involves addressing guest concerns, collaborating with various departments, and supporting management in maintaining security operations and procedural compliance.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

• Supervise, train, and evaluate staff to ensure team members receive the necessary guidance to accomplish established objectives in line with departmental standards.
• Ensure that proper procedures and detainment techniques are followed when responding to violations of civil or company laws or procedures.
• Assist various local, state, and federal authorities in various activities and investigations to ensure compliance with procedures and laws.
• Maintain up-to-date information on individuals who violate civil or company laws or procedures to ensure the protection of company assets, patrons, and team members.
• Develop and maintain communication with law enforcement agencies and security personnel from other casinos to share security information.
• Attend to guest concerns and issues with active listening and prompt resolution. Coordinate and collaborate with all departments to ensure effective problem-solving.
• Provide support to departmental management as needed.
• Coordinate with Casino Operations to ensure that proper procedures are established and maintained.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum five years' experience in security; at least one in a supervisory capacity.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work as a part of a team.
• Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all times, with various departments, all levels of management and outside contacts.
• Ability to solve routine problems.
• Must be able to review and comprehend all necessary documentation.
• Ability to effectively communicate in both oral and written English.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Must be able to work in a casino environment with smoke, loud noises, and low lighting.
• Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours, including holidays.
• Ability to move around work area effectively and efficiently.
• Must be able to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to review and comprehend all necessary documentation.
• Must be able to bend, squat, reach and twist as necessary.
• Must be able to move up to 50lbs.
