About the Role
The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing all financial and accounting functions within Downtown Fabworks. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, compliance with industry regulations, and effective internal controls. The senior accountant with project managers, HR, and senior leadership to provide financial insights that drive profitability and support long-term growth.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Manage job costing, WIP schedules, and project billing for accurate project financials
- Perform monthly bank and account reconciliations across operating, payroll, and project accounts
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Develop, implement, and monitor budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections within NetSuite ERP
- Maintain budgets in NetSuite ERP, including updates and variance analysis
- Prepare and record payroll journal entries, including wages, taxes, and benefits accruals
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax requirements
- Support AP and AR processes to ensure timely and accurate posting
- Supervise, train, and develop accounting staff
Key Attributes - Knowledge & Skills:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Strong knowledge of fabrication accounting, job costing, WIP schedules, and revenue recognition.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong leadership and communication, and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Location:This is an in-person position with a hybrid schedule option. Employees must be able to work multiple days per week on location at our New Orleans office (2800 N. Johnson St., NOLA 70117).

Salary : $70,000 - $79,000
