Responsibilities
- Maintain the health and appearance of flowers, shrubs, and other plants through regular watering, pruning, fertilizing, and pest control
- Assist with planting new flowers at the annual Planting Day on April 25th
- Follow safety protocols during all maintenance activities to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues
- Collaborate with team members to complete daily tasks promptly while maintaining high standards of horticultural care
- Use and transport equipment in a safe manner for both yourself and the public
- Report any maintenance issues to your supervisor
- Be a friendly face in Downtown Everett!
Skills
- Knowledge of lawn care, landscape maintenance, gardening, and horticulture practices is a plus, but not required.
- Excellent communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus for engaging diverse teams or visitors
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining attention to detail and safety standards
- Ability to work independently with little supervision
- Ability to lift 25 pounds
- Push and pull wheeled equipment, hoses, and turn handles and knobs
