Job Summary
We are looking for a dedicated and adaptable Assistant Teacher for our 3- and 4-year-old class to join our early childhood education team. This role involves supporting classroom activities, assisting with lesson planning, and providing a nurturing environment for children of various ages, including toddlers and preschoolers. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, knowledge of childhood development, and the ability to adapt to different classroom settings. Duties
- Support lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans focused on literacy, math, and overall curriculum development.
- Assist with classroom management and behavior management strategies to foster a safe and engaging learning environment.
- Provide one-on-one or small group instruction tailored to individual student needs, including children with autism or disabilities.
- Help with classroom organization, including setting up materials for activities and maintaining cleanliness.
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote social-emotional development, early childhood education, and daycare routines.
- Support children’s developmental milestones through interactive play and educational activities.
- Adapt teaching methods for diverse learners, including those with special needs or behavioral challenges.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning and assessment strategies.
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding children's progress and behavior.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, private school, or similar settings.
- Knowledge of childhood development, behavior management, and classroom management techniques.
- Familiarity with special education practices, working with children with autism or disabilities, and Montessori or preschool curricula is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members.
- Experience in lesson planning and curriculum development tailored for early childhood education.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while demonstrating flexibility as a floater across classrooms.
- Prior experience working with children with diverse needs is advantageous.

Pay: $10.00 - $15.00 per hour
