Position: District Athletic Event Worker - Safety/Security
Locations: Downingtown High School West, Downingtown High School East, Lionville Middle School, Downingtown Middle School

Job Description:
Athletic event workers are to provide assistance and support to the athletic department staff to ensure adherence to rules and regulations and the management of our athletic contests.
Essential Functions:
Responsible for assisting with general event management, including supervision of spectators, officials, opposing teams, coaches, team personnel, and student sections to ensure compliance with rules and expectations.
- General crowd control
- Ensure provisions for safe and proper conduct of spectators at assigned athletic contests
- Provide security/escort of contest officials
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
To successfully perform this position, a person must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily. The qualification requirements listed below represent minimum levels of educational achievement, training, skills, and/or ability necessary.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must successfully complete and maintain compliance with all federal and state background and criminal record check requirements

Hours:
- Guaranteed 3 hour minimum for each assigned shift
- Shifts and times as assigned by athletic department and are dependant upon sport
Compensation:
- $20 per hour, paid through STS (Substitute Teacher Service)
