Downeast Marine is looking for a Marine Technician to join our team in Beaufort, NC.
Job Description:
The Outboard Engine Mechanic is responsible to identify, diagnose and repair four stroke outboard engines and boat systems to include electrical systems, plumbing and rigging. Qualified candidates must be able to communicate with service advisors and the parts department throughout the repair process to aid in the establishment of a proper written estimate/work order. Ideal candidates maintain an inventory of personal tools, should be able to lift equipment or packages up to 50lbs and must have a clean driving record and reliable transportation. Mechanic background preferred.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in marine repair preferred.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, work at heights, work in tight spaces, and operate hand tools.
- Must be able to read and follow written instructions.
- Must have good communication skills and be able to work with others.
