What are the responsibilities and job description for the VP of Sales Strategy position at Downeast Cider House?
As the VP of Sales Strategy at Downeast, you will be an effective leader of the Sales Strategy team. The team includes Sales Operations (making the sales team function more smoothly), Sales and Operations Planning (demand forecasting and inventory allocation), Sales Strategy (where and how we go to market), and Revenue Growth Management (maximizing net revenue).

What you'll do:
- Effectively and impactfully lead as a member of the Management Team
- Ensure accuracy of rolling depletion and shipment forecasts
- Build a 1-3 year commercial plan in collaboration with Marketing and Sales
- Direct sales team on seasonal priorities and drive focus towards sales initiative through management of our CRM and goal setting
- Suggest and execute on revenue growth management tactics throughout the year, such as passing price increases, managing discounting, fixing the mix, etc.
- Own and track Sales Strategy budget, which includes wholesaler discounting, team meals and travel, and software purchases
Who you are:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 8-12 years of relevant experience, at least 4 years managing a team (3 direct reports)
- Minimum of 3 years direct sales experience (calling on retailers or wholesalers)
- Beverage alcohol experience strongly preferred
