Position Description
Wooster School is looking for an experienced STEM professional to fill a mixed role, which includes math or science instruction and general STEM support for students in the Upper School Bridge Program. This role begins in August 2026. The Wooster School Bridge Program supports high-achieving students with mild language-based, attentional, or auditory processing differences. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated familiarity with or background in multi sensory language-based instruction, and a knowledge of how structured literacy principles transfer to STEM learning (ex: decoding complex problem language, academic vocabulary, symbolic representation, and technical writing in math and science), along with best practices in executive functioning, study skills, and learner behaviors, within an environment that is supportive of and attentive to students’ social-emotional needs.

Experience/Qualifications
Expertise in and understanding of best practices in multi-sensory language-based instruction, and the application of structured literacy principles within STEM contexts (e.g., mathematical language, scientific vocabulary, symbolic reasoning, and technical writing), along with Executive Functioning and study skills. Experience supporting students in mathematics and/or science at the Upper School level including differentiating instruction for learners with language-based or processing differences. At least 3 years of successful teaching experience. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Teacher certification preferred.
Salary and Benefits
This is a full-time, exempt position. Salaries are competitive with local independent schools.
