JV Girls Volleyball Coach Job Description
Fall 2026 Season
Dover Sherborn High School is looking for a JV Girls Volleyball Coach for the 2026 Fall season. The first day of the season would be reported for the first day of tryouts on Monday, August 24th. The meet the Fall coach night would be mandatory for this coach to attend, which would be in June, before the 2025-2026 school year concludes. The coach would be expected to conduct 1.5 to 2-hour practices every day, Monday to Friday, Saturday optional. The coach would coach the team in 12-16 games, home and away, competing in the Tri-Valley League. They would be expected to drive the school minibus to away games.
DSHS is looking for a passionate and motivated coach who has a purpose for motivating student athletes in the sport of volleyball. Previous volleyball coaching experience required. This is a first-year program at the athletic department level. We will run this program for two seasons at the JV2/JV1 level, and it will be self-funded through fundraising efforts and sports fees. If membership proves to be sustainable, the athletic department will officially add it as a sport to be funded by the athletic department in the Fall of 2028 at the varsity level. DSHS is looking for a coach who is passionate about the sport and growing the numbers in the sport throughout the high school. They would be expected to organize and encourage the team to do basic fundraising to pay for things like spandex, balls, ball baskets, and t-shirts throughout the first two years, as it is self-funded.
The stipend will pay $3,200 in the 2026 season.
