What are the responsibilities and job description for the MTSS Building Coordinator position at Dover School District, SAU 11?
The MTSS Building Coordinator is an intervention teacher who delivers small-group and individualized support to students requiring Tier 3 academic interventions. Additionally, they consult with grade-level teacher teams on data-driven decision-making and instructional strategies for Tier 1 and Tier 2, ensuring coordination across all tiers of support.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Tier 1 instructional practices, and well-developed competencies delivering small group instruction, and individualized interventions (e.g., Wilson Reading System, Orton-Gillingham Approach, Lindamood-Bell, etc.). The District will provide training in their MTSS approach, including specific intervention programs, as needed.The MTSS Director will determine area/s of priority for the MTSS Building Coordinator, based on student data which may include literacy, mathematics, and/or social-behavioral needs. This individual will work closely with general education teachers, ESOL staff, PLC teams, special educators, reading specialists, and other stakeholders to ensure that all students receive the support they need.
